Hello from Seven Summits Rehab and Health - your local Kitsilano health experts! Thank you for trusting us with your rehab and well-being needs. We look forward to welcoming you in person at our clinic and being with you on your rehab/health journey to Finding Strength At Your Baseline!

The clinic continues to follow current provincial health guidelines for healthcare settings. Currently, there is no mask mandate in place for private practice care settings. As such, it will be a personal choice for patients and staff on if they choose to wear a face mask while in the clinic. If you do wish to wear a mask, but do not have one upon arrival, we would be happy to provide a new one free of charge at reception. Please also let us know if you would prefer your therapist to wear a mask during your appointment. If yes, we would be happy to put on a medical-grade face mask (eg. N95 or equivalent). If you exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that you do not come to your appointment and to reschedule it for after you feel better. Thank you for your cooperation.

The pressure-plate analysis allows the physiotherapist to assess the mechanics and pressures that we are unable to via observation and palpation alone. The gait scan analysis then gives us the option of fitting orthotics, but our priority is to use the scan information to build a rehab program so that you may not need to rely on orthotics at all.

TCM is an ancient philosophy dating back thousands of years. It is a complementary system of healthcare that can provide another perspective on what may be causing your health issues, and can be used as an additional tool in maintaining your body's health. A key principle in TCM is your body's Qi, which is energy flow that is vital to sustaining positive mental, emotional and physical health. When your Qi is imbalanced, then we see symptoms arising.

Once imbalances are identified, our TCM practitioner will use appropriate strategies to improve the energy flow. Such strategies may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, acupressure, Tui Na massage, Chinese herbs and TCM nutritional advice. Perhaps the symptoms are not solely originating from a dysfunction of the muscle or ligament, so TCM can be a powerful way to look at your body's imbalances and provide an alternate lens.
